A maternity session gives you the opportunity to document this chapter before everything changes. Whether you envision something elegant and dramatic, soft and natural, outdoors at sunset, or relaxed with your partner and family, we’ll create a session that feels comfortable and personal to you.
These are photographs not only for you, but for the child who will one day get to see just how loved they were before you ever met them.
Maternity and newborn photography is about preserving the anticipation, connection, and emotion surrounding one of life’s most meaningful chapters, from the excitement before your baby arrives to those first moments together as a growing family.
Before your session, we will discuss your vision, location, outfits, participants, and the overall style you would like for your photographs. For newborn sessions, we will also plan around your baby’s needs and allow plenty of flexibility for feeding, comforting, changing, and breaks throughout the session.
During the session, I will provide gentle posing and positioning guidance while keeping the experience relaxed and comfortable. Maternity sessions can include individual portraits as well as photographs with your partner and family, while newborn sessions focus on your baby, parents, siblings, and the natural connections between you. The result is a collection of photographs that preserves this chapter of your family’s story for years to come.
